CCCPB Ministry and Outreach Programs
"Faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead." James 2:14-26
Our various programs allow our members to become instruments of change, justice, and compassion. We believe the kingdom of God is one that we create by our actions, here and now. We act in concert and as individuals to better bring understanding, justice, and love to the world. Divergence of opinion is something we celebrate and use to the best advantage possible.
We practice the sacraments of Communion and Baptism to recognize and ritualize participation in the Body of Christ. Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month. You are reminded that you need not be a member of this church or any church to partake because we believe God's love in Jesus the Christ is a gift to all. Baptism is voluntary, non-immersive, and is a symbolic act of your welcome into the community of CCCPB and the larger Body of Christ. We believe these sacraments are the most essential of the sacraments commonly practiced in the greater church.
Community Christian Service Agency (CCSA)
Our church supports the Community Christian Service Agency which is a multi-denominational body in San Diego that helps meet the needs of the homeless and poor. The need is greater than ever, and with it, so is the opportunity to help. Call for more information: 858-274-2273
We provide meeting space for Narcotics Anonymous, Alcoholics Anonymous, and Alanon. We support pro-choice and family planning. We have a progressive stance on science and the balance between faith and reason.
